Greatly inspired by her Grandmother’s old wardrobe, she enjoyed making her own clothes before studying tailoring at the School of Art in Oslo and fashion in Italy at the Marangoni Institute.
She gained a BA Hons in Fashion and Textiles from Kingston Poly in 1993 before designing for Top Shop, Pringle of Scotland, M&S and Paul Smith. From Paul Smith she learned to appreciate the beauty and value in the quirky details, making unique items and not just mass produced fashion.
Christina enjoys sewing, knitting, baking, felting and sharing her knowledge and experience with her three children.
Continuing her love for all things handmade she started ‘The Nordic Make Lounge’ in 2011, teaching traditional and contemporary crafts to adults and children.
I love creating special things that add happiness to everyday life and I am very excited about the collaboration with Stitch!
